It is Wednesday which means I (Bea) am editing the Dragon Hall newsletter again. Sandra My Vaccination Journey Before there was a Vaccine – #1
In March last year, when we knew Coronavirus was coming our way, I had a snatched conversation with a neighbour.
I said something like: ‘Perhaps we should try and catch this disease early on in the pandemic, so we will get immunity and be able to help other people’. My neighbour said something like: ‘I don’t think so!’. And she was right. We were both over 70. It could have been the last thing we ever did. The seriousness of the situation sank in. For a while the airwaves threw us the notion of natural Herd Immunity but then drew back as the cost, in terms of deaths, became apparent. We began to understand that vaccination would be our only hope of escape and it was a long way off. But not as long as we thought.

Learn Italian on Zoom

The youth member running the session sent this message:
“I am going to run a taster session of Italian which is my native language, to learn some basic Italian so you can go to Italy and order all the pasta and pizza you want!”

Chinese Arts Now Festival 2021
Friday 19th February, 7.30pm, online
We are thrilled to be working in partnership with the Chinese Arts Now Festival 2021, running online from 20 February – 21 March 2021.
Originally conceived as a live exhibition in our fantastical neo-Gothic home, this collaboration has evolved into a unique arts encounter, creating brand new digital environments and featuring new work from brilliant British Chinese artists.
Join us on zoom at 7.30-8.30pm this Friday 19 February for an exclusive preview, and to hear from the artists about the inspiration they’ve taken from the history and art of Two Temple Place.
Details on how to access the exhibition will be available on www.twotempleplace.org from 9pm on Friday 19 February.
