Hello Everyone,
How was your Easter weekend? I hope you enjoyed it and managed to do something nice in the lovely Spring weather! I spent the weekend doing some crafty and DIY jobs that have been on my list for a long time, baking and going for a walk with friends.

Around the World in 80 Plants
Join the Linnean Society for a FREE online event to celebrate the publication of ‘Around the World in 80 Plants’
We are thrilled to host Jonathan Drori for our Nature Reader series!
Coinciding with the publication of Around the World in 80 Plants, join us on a profusely illustrated journey celebrating plant science and revealing how the traits that plants have evolved have intricately entwined them with our own history, culture and folklore. Who knew that there was a time when pineapples were hired out for parties, or that there are fruit whose ripening responds to sound, or why bananas are perfect for nightclubs? There are poignant stories too, and the downright bizarre, such as trees that seek and sever telephone wires, and the unflinching quest for aphrodisiacs that has changed the course of history.
Jonathan Drori CBE FLS is a Trustee of The Eden Project and Cambridge University Botanic Garden, and Honorary Professor at the Birmingham Institute for Forest Research. He spent nine years on the Boards of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the Woodland Trust, and is an Ambassador for the WWF. In a previous life he was a documentary film-maker with the BBC.
