MESSAGE FROM AMBER
Many of you have been asking how Amber is doing. Well, I am pleased to let you know that she is well and I have just got a message from her, which I would like to share with you.
“………..I’m back in London and working towards my degree show every day, there is a lot to do! The show is on September 13th at London Metropolitan University – more details to follow!
I also wanted to share a few photos from my trip with you and the members. Cyprus was amazing! Great food, culture, history, and people. I really enjoyed my time there.
I managed to make a sculpture based on the taro plant. In Hawaii, the taro (‘kalo’ in Hawaiian language) carries significant value in the creation of Hawaii. It was one of the staples the voyagers brought with them upon arrival in the islands. So, it was to my great surprise when I found the plant growing in Cyprus not far from where I was staying as well as in the grocery market.
I attached a photo of the sculpture I made and some random pictures of the trip/ If any of the members would like to keep up with future artworks I’m up to, they can find me on instagram as well (@colour.amber). I tend to put pictures of my work up on there pretty often.
Well, that’s all for now! I hope you are all well and I am missing you……”
