Friday Lunch Club

Our Friday Lunch Club is a great way for you to go out, meet new people, enjoy conversation and eat a balanced and healthy meal. CGCC at 7 Dials Club offers a different lunch each week (at an affordable price – £3.75 for a two course meal) and can provide a vegetarian alternative.

14th July: Vegetarian Stuffed Red Peppers with Salad
21st July: Penne Carbonara
28th July: Vegetable Quiche with Salad

11th August: Salmon Fillet with Dill Dressing & Salad
18th August: Fishcake with Salad
25th August: No Lunch Club
1st September: No Lunch Club

Please note: lunch club Cancellations
Over recent months Friday lunch club has become more popular meaning we are often over-subscribed. CGCC places our food order on a Wednesday for delivery on a Thursday based on the numbers booked for lunch. If a person cancels after the Wednesday cut-off point there is a double effect, firstly and most importantly another member could have attended the lunch, and secondly we have food waste.

Should anyone cancel their place at Friday’s lunch without good reason after the Wednesday cut-off (4pm), I’m afraid we will need to charge for non-attendance.

Tea Dance

Celebrate the month of romance in style with Edurne as she leads our next Tea Dance. A mixture of dance workshop and social dancing, mixed with tunes from the 60’s. 70’s, 80’s and beyond.

Community Evening View of Luxury and Power: Persia to Ancient Greece

Saturday 1st July: 18.30

I have ten tickets for the above special preview of Luxury and Power. Drawing on dazzling objects from Afghanistan to Greece, this exhibition moves beyond the ancient Greek spin to explore a more complex story about luxury as a political tool in the Middle East and Southeast Europe from 550–30 BC. It explores how the royal Achaemenid court of Persia used precious objects as markers of authority, defining a style of luxury that resonated across the empire from Egypt to India.

What makes this exhibition unique is that it will take place in the evening, when the British Museum is closed to the general public
