The Blue Room at the BBC
As part of Dragon Halls holiday scheme the Inters Group visited the Blue Room at the BBC Media Centre. The Blue Room was set up for BBC research in technology, with a media technology demonstration team showcasing the new and exciting ways in which their audiences find, consume, create and interact with content.
Our Tech Hub is at the forefront of what we do, so most of our young people have used a wide variety of up-to-date technology, however some of the technology we saw in the Blue Room was unimaginable and allowed everyone to expand their ideas of tech and where it is going.
Jessica, 14 “It was really good and being able to play with the gadgets was the best”
But to use the technology in the Blue Room was amazing – televisions where you can watch two television programmes at once by wearing different pairs of glasses, interactive programmes, phones with projectors and really high resolution TV screens.
It was a great experience, we would like to say thank you to the BBC Blue Room and Caroline Ward for inviting us.
Jay “It was really awesome and a great experience for young people”
