Thursday 23rd April 2020 – Day Thirty One
Good morning all
So, the recent government statement that we will have to live with some disruptive social measures for at least the rest of the year, does mean that we face some difficult challenges and that life will not return to normal soon. Restrictions are likely to continue through to summer and, possibly, until the Autumn (in one form or another)
Keeping people connected is our main priority, and how best we can use technology to support everyone through this extended period of isolation.
Dragon Hall is in talks with organisations with how best to support our members. A number of you have stated that you are using a smartphone to access the emails and the internet and do not have wifi.
We have some tablets for local people (Camden) and are looking at obtaining more. If you do not have (or know someone who doesn’t) have broadband, please let me know.
As well as tablets we are looking at purchasing Dongles (A dongle gets you broadband when you’re on the go. They’re portable, easy to use, and, best of all, mean you can get online wherever you are in the country.)
Please could you let me know if you require support in improving your connection, or if you know of a friend, family member or neighbour.
What can I share with you today?

Shared by Paul – today’s wisdom and humour: Social Distancing. I looked into her eyes, deep into the emerald green, my heart fluttered, I felt a connection, something deeper, something magical, I was transported to another place and I thought, blimey these binoculars are brilliant
