Christmas with the after school club

The young people of St Clement Danes came along to Bloomsbury Baptist Church during their Seniors Christmas Lunch. The school were very gracious to come and do a 30-minute concert with the year 6’s.

On the 18th December we invited some local Seniors to join us for a session, we had Christmas cards ready for the people who came. We started with a Christmas quiz, there were questions about Christmas songs, traditions and films. Some of our young people then performed different talents, we had dancing by two of our young men, 4 girls singing St Nicolas, one person playing the guitar and then two other singing groups.

We had a great time and everyone really enjoyed themselves we had some great feedback and would like to do this again more regularly.

On our last session for 2018, we finished off our team games, handed out our secret Santa gifts and then had a party. Some were dressed up in Christmas jumpers and hats, others sang Christmas carols.

Our December has been fabulous with lots of fun and new activities. Young people also meet new people and learnt to adapt to different situations. We have received some great feedback from all of the sessions and are looking forward to what this year will bring.
