FUNNY SIDE OF LIFE
From Ruth – Do you Speak Corona?
Are you fully conversant with the new terminology of “Lockdown Lingo”? Corona conversation for the beginner!
Doom-scrolling – You’ve probably caught yourself ‘doom-scrolling’ at least once or twice: the act of scrolling through social media just to read horrifying stories related to Covid-19.
Iso – A term hailing from – you guessed it – Australia, ‘iso’ is short for isolation. There are fun variations of the word including ‘isobar’, which means a fridge full of beer, and ‘isodesk’, which stands for your home office.
Mask-ara – Extra make-up applied to “make one’s eyes pop” before venturing out in public wearing a face mask.
That’s all for now!
