LGBTQ+ LATIN PARTY
SATURDAY 8TH OCTOBER 1:00 – 3:30
Venue: CGCC at 7 Dials Club
Come along to our first LGBTQ+ Latin Party, bringing together the people that love Latin music and culture. Our very own Edurne will be beginning the party with a dance workshop teaching you how to Salsa and to merengue. Then the party will start with our social dance, refreshments and a chance to mingle.
This, our first LGBTQ+ Latin Party, will take place at the CGCC at 7 Dials Club.

Free Talks Next Month (October 2022)
I have a couple of talks planned for next month. Talks and workshops are something that I am planning to do on a regular basis now that the dark nights are drawing in, so watch this space and more details to follow.
Friday 7th October – 11:30:
Talk by Silvertime Legal; Tax, Care and the New Guy
Silvertime Legal will cover the topic of care and how if we as individuals have over £23,250 we will be expected to pay for our own long-term care fees. Due to this, hundreds of houses are sold every day to cover the costs of our long-term care fees. The speakers will discuss the different options available to us that may benefit certain individuals and help to prevent them from selling their homes for their care fees.

Telling Your Story
If you were to tell a story from your childhood, or share your life experiences, or talk about your career, what would you say? When these stories are brought together in a written account, then that is a memoir or autobiography – it’s what really happened, your story, told the way you want to tell it.
But what does it take to write your story? Is it worth telling? Where do you start? And how do you know if it’s any good? This free introductory talk will answer these questions and more, in a lively conversation about memoir & autobiography as a form. If you are curious about starting a memoir project, editor and writer Susan Gordon will take you through some of the essentials of life writing, and different ways to approach it.
