In this illustrated talk, Tudor Allen, Archivist at Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre, takes us to the west of the London Borough of Camden to explore the fascinating history of the Kilburn area from its origins with the foundation of a priory in the 12t century to the coming of the railways and the development of its bustling high street in Victorian times and on to the buildings, people, events and developments of the 20th century.

City Lit
Dragon Hall is working in partnership with City Lit to host free maths courses.
Do you feel overwhelmed by your money situation? Do want to take back control of your spending? The current cost of living crisis makes a basic but thorough understanding of budgeting essential. On this course you will learn about and put into practice the key elements of financial planning and the necessary maths skills. You will develop your own personal financial budget and plan and learn what to include and exclude, how to make the necessary calculations and how to be more successful in managing your money.
Cost of living crisis: how maths can help you…

February Film Club at the Garden Cinema
Tuesday 21 Feb 2023, 3:30pm: Roman Holiday.
Lovingly restored in stunning 4K, Roman Holiday features a legendary, Oscar-winning performance from Audrey Hepburn. Nominated for a total of 10 Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, it’s the story of a modern-day princess who, rebelling against the royal obligations, explores Rome on her own. She soon meets an American newspaperman (Gregory Peck) who pretends ignorance of her true identity, in the hopes of obtaining an exclusive story. Naturally, his plan falters as they inevitably fall in love.
Cost: £2:00
