FOOD / SHOPPING
Thank you to everyone who has forwarded their wonderful support and comments to me regarding the Food Bank Project organised by Covent Garden Community Centre / 7 Dials Club. It is really gratifying to hear that so many people are benefiting from the service: here are some comments forwarded by the community:-
From Sue: “Free food offered on a weekly basis from the good folks at the Covent Garden Community Centre and the 7Dials Club. On offer a variety of food from ready meals to fresh veg. Kind of pot luck depending on what is delivered to the food bank. Free delivery, if you are not able to get out.”
From Tunde (Peabody Trust): “I want to thank you for your involvement in the Food Bank that is taking place in the local community. The residents who are receiving it are grateful for the support and certainly inform me how great the packages are; additionally it is at this time that I think people really learn the meaning of the word community as it is demonstrated through action in the form of the food bank.”
Thank you once again for the amazing work that you and the team are doing in the community and through the Food Bank.

ART & CULTURE
From Chris B:
Brave – Virtual Performance.
With so many key workers bravely keeping us safe and keeping things moving, the London Gay Men’s Chorus wanted to give their thanks with a little video they’ve put together. More than 80 of their members recorded their own videos in isolation, at home, on their own equipment.
From Lesley:
Here are some of my Mum’s Drawings which she is very happy for you to share and hope it encourages someone else to pick up a pencil.
Helen had said she wasn’t very artistic so had been quite surprised at what she has achieved and Dawn’s (from Queen’s Gallery) encouragement has definitely been an influence here!
From Genia:
Google’s Street View feature lets visitors tour the Guggenheim’s famous spiral staircase without ever leaving home.
From there, you can discover incredible works of art from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary eras.

From Sam – words of wisdom and humour, while we survive lockdown
